Welcome to the registration page for the 2024 Chief Resident Leadership Workshop (CRW). Please review the following information carefully, as it includes important details about the workshop.

This program is a skills-based event for California family medicine residents transitioning into their new roles as clinical leaders. Sessions are designed to be interactive and will offer incoming chiefs a learning environment for developing interpersonal communication, improving group dynamics and advancing the educational mission of their programs.

The workshop is divided into a virtual session (Part 1) and an in-person meeting (Part 2):

• Part 1 will take place on Zoom (recorded), Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM, and includes introductory leadership skills that will help you during your first few months of chiefdom.
• Part 2 is an in-person (not recorded) meeting at the Hilton Costa Mesa in conjunction with the Family Medicine POP conference.
  • Friday, August 23 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM includes Networking & Part 1 Workshop Recap
  • Saturday, August 24 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM includes advanced Leadership Toolkit Sessions

After the workshop ends (at 1:00 PM on 8/24), chiefs are encouraged to participate in other POP content, especially those designed for residents. We invite you to explore the schedule for a description of the CRW topics/sessions, and all the programming associated with POP, including keynotes, featured speakers, breakout sessions and other workshops.
